Hilfe für Rumänische Waisenkinder e.V.
Hilfe für Rumänische Waisenkinder e.V. is the second project that we support. For more than 24 years, the association "Hilfe für rumänische Waisenkinder e. V." has been helping orphaned children in Romania. Thanks to the support of the donors, the association built two care homes. Each house shelters 12 children providing them with a familiar environment where they can grow and receive all the support they need to develop.
Your donations will go entirely to the children as the transportation costs are borne privately by the members of the associations and the manual and administrative tasks are carried out on a voluntary basis.
In each house, the children are lovingly cared for by four house mothers who work in two shifts. In the afternoon, two homework teachers come to each house to support the children doing their homework. In addition, all the children have regular meetings with a psychologist and receive further treatment if necessary. One of the house mothers is a trained speech therapist and is currently taking care of four children with speech disorders. To ensure that the children receive the best possible care, the staff receive regular training.
The success of this project is demonstrated by the regular visits and support received by children who grew up in the family houses after they left and formed their own families.
Students for Amani stands in close contact with the organisation. This enables tight cooperation, a high level of transparency, as well as the opportunity to evaluate exactly what is needed within the Care Home. Currently, we support Hilfe für Rumänische Waisenkinder e.V. by paying for one of the two teachers helping the children doing their homework. Therefore, through your donations the children will be able to continue their studies or pursue vocational training, enhancing their future career opportunities.
