Our performance at the Glühwein-Kabarett

For about 20 years now, the traditional Glühwein-Kabarett has been taking place in Krefeld. During Christmas time, the Glühwein-Kabarett was held in the beautiful “Stadtwaldhaus” of Krefeld. There, guests could enjoy the entertaining performances of selected artists from music, cabaret, and comedy while having food and drinks. This event was organized and moderated by Rüdiger Höfken.

 

At the same time, Rüdiger Höfken has been serving as a coach for Students for Amani e.V. as part of the startsocial scholarship since November 2022 for about four months. Together with Kathi, he supports our non-profit organization in improving its structures, among other things. Rüdiger, offered us the opportunity to present our association during the four-day event from December 18th to 21st, 2022. We gladly accepted this great offer and the trust that was placed in us.

 

Before the break, Rüdiger handed the microphone over to our founding member and treasurer Yunus Kaplan in front of about 200 guests. Yunus was allowed to use the stage time on all four days to introduce Students for Amani e.V. and our current charitable work in Kenya and Romania. In the foyer, we had our stand with flyers and information about us and our projects. Interested people could exchange ideas with our team and ask questions during the 20-minute break. Great conversations took place and the guests appreciated our volunteer work. 

 

Consequently, the guests' willingness to donate was high, and we received donations totaling €1,039.26 over the four days. The Glühwein-Kabarett was a great experience for our team. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all donors and especially Rüdiger for this great opportunity!
